The Most Wonderful Time

I spent a large portion of my Winter break working, Christmas was almost non-existent for me (But I've racked up the pennies and I'm sure a few will be spent at Topshop). I also took some pictures of the hotel, where I work with my family, for promotional material, and I ended up really liking some of them so I thought I'd pop them up here. For most of them I was just messing around with the settings and having a play with my camera

I have a bunch of outfit pictures to post but haven't really felt like it (I could go on about how stressed and busy I've been for 4 paragraphs but it's so boring) and I didn't want to post things that I wasn't 100% happy with. This New Year I haven't been motivated to promise myself lots of things that I may or may not follow through with, instead, as far as this blog goes I think I will just post a bit more of everything. Instead of feeling forced to post outfits, a cheeky little number like this post may pop up once in a while to keep me focus and engaged with my blog. It's just a space where I ramble on the internet and talk about clothes, I shouldn't pressure myself to make it perfect or incredibly consistent. I hope it will feel a little more natural. I have a blog/youtube rebrand coming soon with banners/logos etc so that should keep me entertained

How was your Christmas? I hope you had a wonderful time!

Satin and Spikes

Shirt: Monki Sale - last year
Trousers - H&M sale (£3!!!)
Necklace - Found it in the dining room
Bag - Tenerife
Shoes - Urban Outfitters sale - last year

Are those Halloween decorations or have I been a really naughty blogger and hoarded photos without uploading them? I'm going for the second statement as I've had my Christmas decorations up for weeks now, oops! I haven't put an outfit up for a long time, but I'm struggling to find space in my room for decent photos, so I may revert to some classic "outfit layout" type posts when I can't take pictures. And as us Brits know, the chances of natural lighting during Winter are slim to none.

I'm currently in the midst of a huge blog and youtube revamp, with new layouts and even a side blog for beauty and lifestyle posts. Plus I'm writing up a schedule! Whoa mamma! We'll see how long that lasts ;)

Winchester

I had an amazing time in Winchester with a friend last week, we headed over to the vintage market and I quickly became gutted that I left my DSLR at home as there were so many lovely things to take pictures of. I'm planning on heading back soon to take it all in again. There are some cute and quirky shops in the area and I'm desperate to head back and buy the Rookie yearbook and a couple of sheets of that pretty, patterned wrapping paper to cover my note books and boxes.

Milan Fashion Week (Save or Splurge)

After mentally drooling over some of the shows at Milan Fashion Week last month, and then the subsequent coming to terms with never being able to own a piece of designer clothing I decided to throw together a few collages of my favourite shows and some "inspired" pieces to accompany them. Whether you enjoyed Dolce and Gabbana's feminine, Roman inspired pieces, Prada's colour-block ode to LA graffiti or Emilio Pucci's clashing prints, there was something to suit everyone's taste

Pink and you'll miss it

Hat: H&M (last year)
Skirt: H&M (last year)
Top: Thrifted
Watch: Miss Selfridge
Necklace: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: eBay
Skirt: River Island

Pink hues are all over the high-street this A/W which has finally enticed me to get into the autumn spirit. Part of my hatred towards Winter stems from the lack of colour in shops and magazines, I'm a creature of print and pattern, with a love for pink that cannot simply be appeased for 6 months of the year. I find myself genuinely interested in Autumnal fashion this season, and if you're anything like me, you might decide to incorporate some pink into your wardrobe this year. Here are a few of my favourite picks at the moment:

Print

Top: Vintage (Rokit)
Shorts: Primark sale last year
Necklace: Thrifted
Bag: Miss Selfridge

While the sun was still shining and I didn't have the need for a cheap, fan heater from Argos in my icy cold bedroom, I wore this outfit (it feels as if that was aeons ago, however it was only last week). I'm trying to wear more exciting outfits as I feel as if I've slowly slipped into a habit of not dressing in bright colours and prints.

The last 3 months have been... erratic, to say the least, and in every sense of the word. My blog has unfortunately suffered, which is only a shame to me because it brings me so much joy to post here. Fingers crossed, life has no hurdles left to throw at me and I can resume posting as normal. I have some exciting posts planned and my venture on to a journalism course at university will hopefully inspire me to post about things that don't necessarily always revolve around outfits. I'm excited!
