New Glasses (and how you can get a FREE pair!)

Glasses c/o Firmoo
Dress: Charity Shop
Skirt: Topshop
Bracelet: Topshop
Boots: Shop in Barcelona
Cardigan: Charity Shop (originally Zara!)

So I was super excited to get my glasses in the post from Firmoo the other day, I've been needing a pair of prescription lenses for so long! Why am I telling you this, you might ask? Well Firmoo are offering a free pair of glasses (including awesome sunglasses) to anyone, and all you have to do is pay shipping. I thought you guys would like to know, seeing as Christmas is around the corner, they would make a great gift, even for someone who just wants them as a fashion accessory (prescription and non-prescription available).
Firmoo are an American company, however I received my gasses in record time, it only took about a week, I was really impressed with shipping. The quality is incredible, and the prices are amazing for the service. After being fed up of being ripped off by big companies with only "designer frames" (Not all of us can afford a £200 pair of specs! ) I was super happy to find this site and their glasses - which are super on-trend too. New favourite place to find glasses on the web.
They have loads of deals on but click THIS LINK if you want to opt for the free pair!

This is what I wore for my first day at my Christmas job at Topshop (hands up if you're all sick of hearing me talk about it?) I dug my old boots out of the cupboard to give them a fresh lease of life for the winter. I'm dying to get my hands on the black ones in Primark at the moment. Also, on another glasses related note, I'm really happy to be able to see across the shop floor properly, I'd be a complete mess without my vision, I can't believe I've gone so long without wearing them properly.

The Beaded Collar

Top: H&M
Jumper: DIY
Skirt: New Look sale (old)
Hat: Primark

I wore this to uni today, sorry the pictures suck, my camera is a diva at the moment. Hopefully not long until I can shoot with a shiny new SLR. The collar is actually on a t-shirt I was wearing underneath the jumper.
I filmed 2 videos today but the quality is rubbish. The blogging gods are against me today I guess? I am going to go back to watching the food network and pretending to do my uni work

Jacket: New look (old)
Faux fur stole: H&M (old)

Just a quick post today. Adam very kindly took these pictures for me when we went to the German Christmas market in town. I feel so festive! :) I've just landed a Christmas temp job at Topshop, I'm so excited. I'm going to start saving all my pennies for America this summer!

I bought this dress a few months ago, and I know it's not really a very Autumn suitable dress, but I lusted over it al summer and bit the bullet when I had a 30% off code!

The Berry Pink Dress

Dress: H&M
Shirt: Chairty Shop
Socks: Mall Shop
Bracelet: New Look
Belt: TK Maxx
Shoes: Office
Jacket: Primark
Scarf: H&M
I bought this dress the other day on a whim, I was trying to find a replacement pair of acid wash jeans after a ripped a huge hole in my old ones. After no avail, I ended up leaving H&M with this dress and £19.99 poorer, but I think it was the best decision I have made in months. It is my favourite berry pink colour and goes with almost everything I own. Here, I paired it with a plain white shirt for a job interview I had yesterday (yes, I did wear those socks to an interview, what was I thinking? Lets see if I get it!), but I've already got many ideas for different ways to wear it. I might make a post about it? Although, it's been a very busy week so we will see!

Hope you're all well

Winter Brights Wishlist and Tips

1. 2. 3 all from H&M

4. 5. both from Miss Selfridge

6. 7. both from Topshop

8.  Skirt from Motel Rocks (use the code "hermione" at checkout for %20 off everything!)
9. Jeffrey Campbells at Office

If like me, you feel like one of the only people who can't handle the dull, boring winter colours in the shops at the moment, then don't worry, you're not alone. I've mentioned how I can't get into burgundy and dark colours this year many times, so I thought I'd put together a post of a few of my favourite bits for winter to add a bit of colour back into your wardrobe.

My top tips when styling bright colours in winter are:
- Stay clear of Summer prints and stick with subtle patterns
- Wear block colours more than prints, experiment with what you have.
- Play around with textures such as knits and sequins
- Mix the coloured pieces with basics, such as a white shirt or black leather jacket to make it a little more subtle.
- Have fun. Although fashion plays a huge part in my blog and life, I'd rather experiment with my personal style than wear what's "in fashion". Style is more important than fashion, it's personal to you, don't be afraid to leave a trend behind because you don't like it. Equally, pick up the trends you are interested in, don't be afraid of them.

All the above tips are just rules I will be trying to live by this winter, by no means am I saying you should do to, but they may be useful if you need a boost :)

Tearin' up my Heart

Jumper: Primark (£3!!)
Shirt: Car boot
Necklace: ebay
Beanie: Primark
Cap: Ebay
Shoes: Primark
Jacket: H&M
Jeans H&M

Yes, the title is referencing an N'Sync song, don't hate. It was that or T-Swift so I guess it's the lesser of two evils? What is happening to my music taste recently?
I wore this today to go and do some uni work at my friends house, I actually got loads done, kind of proud of myself. I ended up wearing the beanie instead of the silly studded cap. I don't think I can rock it outside my house? It's ok, I will wear it inside all day and listen to cheesy 90's music - the joys of being independent. This jumper was only £3, however it's really boxy in some areas and tight in others, such a huge manufacturing failure Primark! I guess I'll wear it with a high waist skirt next time, it's not so great with jeans.

My "Zooey Deschanel Dress"

Dress: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: Office

Jacket: Primark

I keep calling this my Zooey Deschanel dress, because the only reason I ended up buying it is because I convinced myself it reminded me of her. I love her quirky 50's prom dresses and I saw this in Miss Selfridge a few months ago for £12 (inc. my student discount!) so I couldn't pass it up. Now if I can just have her hair and smile please Santa? Thanks!

I've surprisingly worn this dress out loads since I got it, I love it so much! I'm doing really well at wearing the outrageous things in my wardrobe that I think I will never wear and actually liking them loads!

Studs, studs and more studs. (Oh and More magazine!)

Shirt: Primark
Skirt: Outlet store in Panama
Belt: H&M
Bag: Charity Shop
Shoes: Office

I wore this the other day (excuse my poorly face, I'm always sick these days!) but forgot to upload it as I was over run with Halloween excitement! I can't believe I'm starting to like dark colours, only a few posts back I said "It wont happen this year blah blah blah".. But here I am in a black shirt and dark pink skirt (it's actually bright but my camera is a bit poorly too.. it's on it's way to camera heaven). However, I'm still wearing super bright prints and pastel colours for at least 90% of the time!

Heres a quick picture of me in More magazine that came out this week :) (page 38, so my Mum keeps telling me, thanks Mum!). I wasn't a huge fan of what we had to style but I did end up putting my own twist on it. It was an amazing experience and getting to see how the stylists worked was super fun (dream job!). My picture turned out ok, although I have an awkward cheesey grin because they kept making me smile, but all in all it's pretty nice to be in the pages of a magazine. This totally beats the time when I was 5 and my name was in the paper for getting my leg stuck in a park bench - let me tell you, having firemen come and cut you out is not fun!
