Summer Florals

Top: Topshop (last year)
Trousers: H&M
Necklace: Jewellery Outlet

Just a quick outfit from last week. I had a few posts ready for while I've been away, but only just found time to write them up. This was while my hair was blonde for a few days before going lavender, which I think is my new favourite hair colour!
In hindsight, this outfit is far too hot for the scorching weather we've been having in England recently (I'm totally not complaining though, I hope it lasts all summer - a girl can dream) so I look a little bit silly in pleather trousers, but nevermind! :)

Outfit Inspiration #1: Skater Skirt

Grey Skater Skirt: Topshop £16
I thought I'd try something new and lay out some outfits centred around one key piece, showing different ways to style it. I might try and do some full length outfit pictures like this one day but my "blogging area" where I take my photos is very cramped and I can never get my shoes in the frame. This was a really fun post to piece together and I have another one coming soon, so let me know what you think :)

OUTFIT 1:
Top: Topshop outlet (last year)
Flatforms: Ebay
Choker: Jewellery Outlet
Hair Tie: H&M

OUTFIT 2:
Bralet: Boohoo
Necklace: Jewellery Outlet
Hair band: New Look

OUTFIT:
Jumper: Charity shop
Necklace: Primark
Boots: Shop in Barcelona

After writing all the details I realised that not many of these pieces are still available, not very helpful of me but I'll try and keep it in mind in future

And on an unrelated note, I reached 100 followers the other day :D thank you all so much it means a lot to me! I've been away for a few days and will be until friday but I have more posts coming, I am planning to blog loads this summer!

By The Pool

Denim shirt: New Look
Dress: H&M
Sandals: Charity shop (but still brand new, woo!)
Hat: Poundland
Bag: Primark
Belt: Primark (last year)

I headed off to the pool today and got some quick outfit snaps on the spare of the moment. They prove why I physically CANNOT take pictures in sunlight, my poor squinty eyes!

Please excuse my hair, it's in a "transitional phase" (or so I keep saying) but it wont be blonde for long. I'm debating purple/silver but I'm not sure so I'm just leaving it like this for a few days. I'm also trying micro link extensions, and I'm only halfway through putting them in (what a chore!) I will maybe make a video in the future about them if it might be helpful?
I don't feel myself with blonde hair at ALL I can't wait to change back. The only problem is I want to go swimming more in the summer, especially on holiday in a few weeks and don't want to make the pool purple. Arghh decisions decisions.

Ombre

Hat: ebay
Necklace: Jewellery outlet
Jumper: New Look
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Shop in Barcelona

Just a quick OOTD before I go and enjoy the sunshine. I have a feeling that I'll need to swap these jeans for some shorts and the jumper for a tank top as for the first time in ages we have sunshine in England (woooo!)
I just thought (seeing as I am on a blogging roll over the last few days!) that I would show the new jumper I bought from New Look for lounging around the house. I'm a bit late on the "ombre trend" and it really clashes with my hair, although not for long as I'm dying it in the next few days.
Hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather :)

Lilac lace

 Annoying twisted necklace!

Dress: New Look
Denim Shirt: New Look
Hat: ebay (I searched "bowler hat")
Necklace: New Look

I didn't even realise that 75% of this outfit was comprised of pieces from New Look, I'm sorry it all sounds a bit boring! The shirt and dress are actually from the children's section. I know, I know that sounds really bad, but the large size more like a size 10 in most pieces maybe even a 12? That makes it ok right? All the kids clothes are much nicer, it would be a shame not to ;)

The bowler hat came in the post this morning and I am literally going to wear it every single day! I love it. It came from ebay, there are so many companies that ship them from china/hong kong and it was only £6.99! Bargain :)

Apologies again about the photo quality! The first few were SO ORANGE, I had to edit them, but then I changed the settings, the last ones turned out a little better but they're very dark. I give up on technology!

DIY: Screw Back Studs

I bought some screw back studs on ebay a few weeks ago and they finally arrived today! So I thought I'd show you what I studded and give a quick step-by-step guide on how I did it.
The ebay store I bought them from is HERE They were £4.09, you might be able to find some cheaper ones if you looked carefully. However, they were a perfect height at just under 1cm.

These are the two items I studded:

A pair of Topshop shorts from the outlet last summer

And the collar on a chiffon shirt (from New Look)

To show the process I took pictures of how I studded the shirt collar

These are the studs, they come with the screws bagged separately which I thought was very useful, saved a lot of messing around!

I used a crochet hook to make the holes as it was the perfect size and not too sharp so I couldn't harm myself. You could aslo use a very small screw driver or anything with a pointed end. Needless to say if you are under 16, get someone's assistance with this as it can be tricky!

This was the collar before studding
In hindsight I should have marked with chalk where I wanted to pierce the holes, it is tricky getting them perfect if you do not do so.

Gently poke your needle/hook through where you want to make a hole, I did mine on the carpet so I didn't damage anything, I would recommend this rather than on a piece of furniture.

Push the screw through the back of the hole then attach the front of the stud, screw it in well and use a screwdriver to tighten it

One down, 11 to go...

5 down...

The finished collar

I also studded the pocket of the shorts, which were surprisingly easy to stud with the needle

I used exactly the same technique for these!
Let me know if you try this too,  I definitely want to do more DIY posts through the summer :)

Skulls and Bones

Top: H&M
Skirt: A shop in Panama
Leggings: Primark
Blazer: Zara
Necklace: Jewellery outlet

I'm so sorry about the awful quality of these posts, I ended up having to take them all on my webcam (ugh!). I was so excited to get back to taking outfit posts, but my camera is so awful, I must have taken 10 on every setting but they all turned out fluorescent! I looked like i had been tangoed, quite literally. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things and get pictures almost every day/every other day from now on (see how long this lasts), but first I need to sort out my awful camera.

Another reason my camera hates me is probably because my hair is so bright, it makes everything surrounding me look like it's glowing neon. I feel like pink is my natural colour, and I always gravitate back towards it but I'd quite like a change for a few weeks. I'd like to be able to wear all my bright summer clothes, not much of a chance in England, nevertheless, all my clothes clash with my hair. I think I might go silver for a few weeks, with pink tips or something. I just need a small break, not from crazy hair, but from my awful dark wardrobe. Silver seems like a nice in between colour, and even though everyone and their uncle has silver hair at the moment it's the closest I want to go to "normal" for a while. Hopefully I will be able to do it when my hair has fadd out :)

Ebay finds

I've been buying so many things from ebay recently! Shoes, skirts, tops, you name it. I thought I'd share some of my favourite finds from ebay uk, if it goes down well I may do posts like this more regularly.
I love the cross top, it looks just like one I was lusting over in topshop for a very long time. I bought myself the pink flatforms and they're really comfortable, I even invested in some black ones too!
I also bought some of the heel-less Mary Janes that look just like Jeffrey Campbell Nightwalks, I'm still waiting for them to arrive so will do a post on how comfortable they are when they arrive but they're slightly intimidating to look at!

Razzmatazz

Topshop Nails in Razzmatazz: £6

I've been dying to get my hands on the topshop gitter polishes for (what feels like years) weeks. I looked everywhere, even the Topshop in Oxford street but no luck. I finally found them when I stopped looking around, always the way. I originally wanted to pick up the pink glitter (adrenaline) but when I compared them I actually preferred the blue. I'm slightly gutted I didn't buy all three but I will probably go back and pick up the other two now that I've tried one.

This was applied with no colour underneath as a base coat, my nails were going commando. Surprisingly I only used two coats to get this effect, it's safe to say I am more than impressed. There are two different grains of glitter in the bottle which always gives a nicer effect, it looks more impressive. The ratio of glitter to polish is amazing,  most polishes take at least 3/4 coats to get anywhere near this effect.

I tried to do the polish justice in the pictures but I don't think I really captured the magic quite enough. The last picture gives a better idea of the colours that it reflects, look at all those colours!

I don't often review just one product, but I loved this one so much i just had to share it.
