Purple Overload

Blazer: New Look
Jumper: H&M
Necklace: Primark
Trousers: New Look

All the colours in this post are slightly hurting my eyes, is there such a thing as too much purple? It's a bit colder here at the moment so the sundresses and sandals have once again been put away.

I'm also starting up my online store again woo! (I used to have an etsy and bigcartel but had to shut them down when I first started university). I'm going to be selling cusomised shorts, vintage clothing and a few bits and pieces in my wardrobe. Hopefully I'll have it all set up in a few weeks! :)

Camouflage

Jacket: ebay
Necklace: ebay
Shoes: ebay

Skirt: H&M
Basic top: Primark
Belt: Primark
Bag: Accessorize

A large part of this outfit is comprised of bits and bobs from ebay. Can we just take a moment to admire THESE SHOES. Ugh. United at last. They are super comfy for platforms, and this is coming from someone with one leg shorter than the other (only a little bit) which means I fall over in anything but flats! They look a bit Spiceworld but I love them.

I also caved and bought a camo jacket. I couldn't help myself, it's more of a shirt/jacket hybrid which makes it much lighter so it will be nice for Autumn.

I think I might take a huge batch of outfit pictures tomorrow as I'm moving and may not have internet for some time so I want to try and stock up. I feel like that might be cheating though? Oh well, desperate times..

Holiday outfits #2

1ST OUTFIT:
Top: Charity shop
Trousers: Market stall in Italy
Bag: Select
Bracelet: Topshop
Hat: Poundland (no shame!)

SECOND OUTFIT:
Top: Forever21
Skirt: Bershka
Shoes: ebay
Bag: Select
Necklace: Kukee

I've been back for a few weeks now and Italy seems like a distant memory now. I'm back to reality. I'm so busy working most days and sorting things out for moving, I'm so excited but I have so much to do I feel like I've neglected my poor little blog. However I do have a HUGE white wall in the new place I'm moving to which I have claimed as my "blogging wall" so I'll have lots of new pictures with no excuses!

It seems weird seeing myself with blond hair. It was nice not making the sea water purple but I missed my colours. I've been lilac for a few weeks now, where has the time gone?

I hope you're all out enjoying the gorgeous weather we're having at the moment!

Bag Love - Select

First bag: £15
Second Bag: £8

A bit of a different post today, I've been off my game at the moment with flat hunting, work, job hunting and feeling a bit glum after flying back to England! Sorry about the lack of blogs.

I picked up these two bags in Select before I left on my travels. The first is clearly a dupe for the Alexander Wang Rocco bag, which everyone and their uncle has a dupe for (and has had for a very long time). But I am impatient and sometimes can't wait for ebay purchases to be shipped from China. This is the first time I've seen a bag like this on the British High Street. I snapped it up as I needed a sturdy, plain black bag for while I was away and it has been the most used bag I've ever owned! However, if you think of buying this bag, do have a good whiff of the bag first (classy lassy) because mine has an awful smell that I only realised after taking the tags off, I think it's the glue that holds it together, it just smells like rotten plastic and no amount of perfume or deodorant has taken it away. Nevertheless, it's my favourite bag in the world.

The second looks just like the one that's a whopping 30.. (something?) British pounds in Topshop. I lusted after the toppers one for so long but this one caught my eye in the nick of time as I've never paid over £20 for a bag in my entire life! This one doesn't have the gluey smell though so thumbs up!

I am loving Select at the moment, it can be hit or miss, sometimes I want everything in store and other times I don't like anything in store at all. It can vary a lot but I always think it's worth a nosey!

I might do a haul of my sales goodies or is it a bit late? :)

Holiday outfits #1

So I finally changed my blog name! While in Italy I was wondering what I could rename my blog for the final time (I swear!) and also what hair colour I was going to do next. These two ideas kind of merged and I ended up calling my blog "lilla-rosa", which means lilac and pink in Italian. As for my hair I've decided on lilac, although it's a tad too purple so I'm just letting it fade at the moment! :)

Here are the first set of outfit pictures from my holiday, it was really nice to have someone to take pictures for me (thanks Nan! haha)

OUTFIT 1:
Dress: H&M
Headband: Topshop
Spike Bracelet: Topshop
Sandals: Topshop
Bag: Select
Necklace: Jewellery Outlet

PICTURES:
Skull Bracelet: Topshop
Bag: H&M

OUTFIT 2:
T-shirt: Primark
Shorts: H&M
Bag: Select
Sunglasses: Urban Oufitters a few years ago (fitted with my prescription lenses)

I went a bit mad in the sales before I left, but I made up for it by not actually buying very much while I was away (except a cardigan for when I got back, bleh!)

BIG UPDATE! :) blog url change!

EDIT: I have now changed my url from little-pink-planet.blogspot.com to lilla-rosa.blogspot.com :)

Just a quick post to say that I will be changing my blog name and url in the next few days! (hopefully by Monday) Eeek. I feel pretty guilty about it because I love my blog name, but I don't love it enough and I want to start making everything consistent. This will be the final time it changes, so what it will be changing to will have to stick FOREVER (dun dun duuuun)

Thank you to anyone who follows me on bloglovin, it means the world to me! However, I'm not sure yet how to change that all around so I will look into it. If you want to ensure that you can find my blog after the name change, please check my twitter for an update (@hermione_xo) - no need to follow or anything :) but I will post it up there!

I know it sounds silly but I don't want to post the new name before I've claimed it so I don't jynx it haha!

And I'm back from my holiday, thank you for all the comments while I was gone! :) I reached 200 GFC followers while I was away, which isn't much to some, but is a HUGGGE amount to me, so thank you so much!

I think that's all my rambling done! xx

What's on my face - Summer 2012 #2 - Eyes/Lips

This is the second part of my posts about my basic, everyday makeup :) I'm currently away in ITALY YAY! so I wont be interacting with my blog until I get back as this is scheduled

EYES:
- Clinique Shadow Quad - My nan gave me this a while ago, so I don't know where it's from but these colours are so perfect and shimmery for a soft daytime look

- Barry M Lash modelling Mascara - Although I'm not fussy about mascara (I just end up picking it all off my lashes anyway! :( ugh) This one is pretty good for length

- Too Faced Shadow Insurance - I got this in a shadow kit from Sephora in Florida at Christmas (excuse me while I weep tears over how much I miss the USA!) and it's my favourite eyelid primer

- Mac Superslick Black Liner - This is great for my watery, hayfevery eyes. It doesn't budge like any other liner I've tried from drugstores. But it goes a strange silvery/green after a good few hours which I HATE.

- MUA Eyebrow Pencil - Not much to say here, I only use it to fill in small gaps in my brows

LIPS:
- Mac (Pink Nouveau) - Pretty much the only thing I'm wearing on my lips at the moment, for someone who used to hate the taste of mac lipsticks I've finally found the one for me! (Maybe it was just a bad few lipsticks I had before?)

So that's just a quick round up of my basic, every day eye and lip makeup, I hope these posts will encourage me to break from routine a little more in the future, maybe branch into new/more colours!

Peaches

Top: Forever 21

Cardigan: Random "mall shop" type place ha
Skirt: Charity shop
Tights: Primark
Necklace: Jewellery Outlet

I've packed this outfit to take with me to Italy (which is where I should be when this is posted, woo!) so hopefully it will keep me cool in the 35 degree heat. Don't get me wrong, I will not be complaining about the heat in the slightest :) but I have a fever at the moment so I hope that goes away by the time I get of the plane or I'll be suffering! Bleh

I'm so excited to come back from holiday and see my bloglovin' feed FULL of posts and my youtube subscription box bursting with new videos to watch! I've been housebound for a good few days now and nothing seems to refresh (because I check back every 5 minutes or so, probably!). I also feel like there's loads of things I keep putting off until I get back, especially blog wise. I need to stop being so shy in the blog world (I'm super awkward and shy in real life too, errrgh)

So yep, I hope these are posting when I set them to, if not *shakes fist at blogger*

Thrift Finds and Sewing

(Scheduled post, while I'm away)
Here's a few things I've thrifted recently, most need altering.

This tie-dye skirt needs taking in and hemming, but it looks very similar to the one in Miss Selfridge a few weeks ago. I'm hopefully going to dye it purple to make it match. Funny story, i had that skirt in my hand on about 5 different occasions but always put it back, it went down to £5 and I finally decided to buy it, I went to pick it up (the last one, and it was in my size!!) but some woman got the a mere second before me! (sobs). I searched everywhere online for it, no Miss Selfridge down south had it and none in Essex (where my boyfriend lives). I'm still a bit gutted, over a skirt which seems so trivial but I'm going to try and make this look as similar as I can :)

A very old vintage jacket

Camouflage top

Vintage tropical skirt, arrgh I love this SO much, I need to take it up a bit but it was like a match made in heaven!

And here are a few old bits that were in my "to sew" pile, so I thought I'd show them

Some trousers I took up and made into shorts

A gorgeous vintage skirt I hemmed

My first attempt at cloud print tie-dye (the lighting is awful, it doesn't look thattttt bad I swear)

A playsuit I bought in Panama for $3 because it had a strap loose, but it's all sewn up now and is probably in Italy as we speak as this post is coming to you from the past ;D All my posts from now on are scheduled, I doubt I will have much internet while I'm away so I wont be interacting on my blog :( But I'll be back soon!
